Basket weave tile – Is your bathroom in need of replacement or do you want other wall or floor tiles? Or are you just looking for tips for a good cleanup for your bathroom tiles? We dived into the bathroom tile world for you and went looking for information. Where a floor tile can be used as a wall tile, a wall tile is absolutely not suitable for use on the floor.
Floor tiles have a lot to endure – just think about how often you walk over them or drop something – and therefore have to be strong and resistant to wear and tear. That is why a wear-resistant glaze is always applied. A wall tile is baked from a different kind of clay paste, is thinner and therefore less strong.
Floor tiles are divided into wear classes 1 through 5, the latter being the strongest. When choosing a floor tile, it is important to ask yourself how intensively the floor is used and whether the room where the tiles are located comes into direct contact with scratchy dirt. It is generally recommended to use a floor tile in class 3 or 4 for your bathroom, as these are both suitable for normal household use.
