Having an alumawood patio cover is a good idea. This simple, inexpensive combination of a roof and column allows you to enjoy your patio more fully. It protects you from the sun, allowing you to eat and relax in your yard without forcing or worrying about sunburn and lets you sit out a sudden summer rain. However, aluminum patio decks can sometimes seem too industrial, confronting the exterior of your home. Luckily, you can update these covers to harmonize with the rest of your home.
Mix 1/2 cup heavy duty detergent with one gallon of water in a bucket. Put on a pair of rubber gloves and dip a brush in the mixture. Scrub down the aluminum patio deck vigorously. Rinse with a garden hose. Let it dry. Pour an oil-based primer for exteriors into a container for painting the paint. Set a paint roller in the introduction and application to the patio cover in a regular coat. Let it dry for two hours.
Pour an oil-based paint in the color of your choice, ideally one that matches the color of the house or the house seat. Apply a uniform coat of this color to the aluminum deck of the patio yet. Templates adhere to the ideal locations along the patio deck. Spray the stencils on the patio deck with an aerosol paint based on oil for metals and exteriors. Remove the painter’s tape before allowing it to dry.
